Thanksgiving and other news
So first off….Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it.
I miss my turkey and other yummy things. I just did some bake chicken and potatoes.
Yes, that means I got my toaster oven~! Got it…Monday. I already baked cake and all. Oh how I’ve missed baking. Even took enough for the entire staff. Had to share my happiness.
I would have baked some cake for 5th grade since I have them again tomorrow but I’m busy doing paperwork that’s due tomorrow. Well taking a break to write this.
I got the files like 2pm this afternoon just to find out they are basically due in like 24 hours. Seriously? Little Miss Nervous needs to stop doing this to me. I hate last minute things. HATE IT~
Also the principal is back. She came into work the day after getting off the plane. At first I was all O.o that’s crazy. Then I remembered I did the same thing. I got off the plane, traveled way out here. Met my co-teacher, went to have dinner with her and some other people. The next day was busy. No such thing as rest. It’s for the weakkkuu~ (which is me, I need some)
I’ve been in this country too long. I’m shocked that I speak English decent enough.
Anyways, the principal was saying thanks for doing all that work, it allowed her to enjoy the trip knowing what they were talking about. She was shocked that schools start around 7:30 in the morning and it’s like um…yeah, I was shocked at how school starts at 9 well now 9:10. I would have finished a few classes by then in elementary school back home. Craziness. She was shocked by how their are live animals in the classrooms like snakes, hamsters, and etc. It’s like um…yeah. Kind of normal. Or how students line up in the hall and how schools have rules and consequences in kids break them. Again, um….yeah. I was surprise seeing how these kids can do almost anything they want. If we did something we got punished. Granted I never got in trouble in school. Just wasn’t my thing. I knew if I acted stupid at school I’d be in trouble at home too. No thanks.
But, you know the being sent to the principal’s office was a big one. Detention slips for lunch or after school. These kids get…nothing. We are not allowed to “punish” them. So writing practice it is~ That’s not punishment it’s learning. I remember one teacher that use to make the entire class write a sentence over 100 times if one student didn’t behave. Let’s just say I got a lot quicker at writing. She wouldn’t accept sloppy writing either. Phew man…glad those days are over.
But, now she understands why I am the way I am. She also mentioned how teachers work longer hours and have more students yet can handle them well. Teachers have more authority of the students. Which once again is like um…yeah they have “punishments” while we can’t “punish” the kids. No discipline the kids are going to run wild. I’m not having that. Screw all that. I didn’t come way over here to be disrespected by some little runts. Nope. They know this too.
Through talking to her, I ended up with another assignment. Which I have to find out what it is exactly tomorrow so I can work on it this weekend.
I also got my Park Hyoshin ticket! That has been the hardest ticket. Well, Junsu is now the hardest to try to get. I have given up on seeing Junsu solo. No go. Tickets disappear as soon as they are released. The pain…
Anyways, I should probably get back to work. Yay~ At least tomorrow is Friday. I might go to megamart tomorrow and see if I can find some muffin pans and blueberries…You know what I’m going for people. BLUEBERRY MUFFINS~! *dances*
Ok, now I’m going this is long enough.
Until next time~
