A field trip at Ocean World?

Sorry for not updating, thought about it but never got to it. Anyways….

Last Friday (May 8) was Teacher’s Day. So we had a ceremony where some of the sixth graders prepared snacks and all the students sung a song. Then some of the sixth grade girls did cover performances of kpop songs. It was cute. Classes went as normal, then lunch. After that.

OCEAN WORLD!

Ok here’s the thing, I was against going. I ALMOST stayed at school instead. I know some of you are probably like “WHY?!”

I don’t do waterparks. Well I didn’t do waterparks.

I always thought about a ton of people in the same water and blah blah blah.

Then at the same time I go to the beach where millions of animals and people swim in that same water. So eh…

I decided to go, because why not? I get off work early and try something I haven’t done before in another country. So we went. There was like 25 of us in total, most went to learn how to golf. Then there was *counts* 7 of us that went to the water park. Three went to the sauna part leaving 4 of us for the actual water park stuff.

I’m so happy that I went like omg it was fun. So sorry I didn’t take any pics of the outside, I didn’t have my phone on me. You know water + phone= not such a pretty picture. The place is big. Oh by the way, it’s at a resort that has a ton of other things to do too. The water park is just one of those things obviously since most went to do golf. Oh four people went bowling.

Went on the ride called the Monster Blaster and omg, it looks simple but catches you off guard. Funny thing is me and my co-teacher went on it twice. The second time was after we convinced a second grade and first grade teacher to go on it. It was the best.

Chilled in some baths and watched tv. Went in a sauna. I swear my skin felt wonderful after it all.

Then it happened. You all should know what I mean. I’m in Korea and talking about saunas…

Oh the nudity. I don’t go naked in front of people, not even my family. I’m super private with my body that only doctors see it and it has to be necessary.

But, I needed to take a shower and get the chlorine out my hair. So, took a deep breath, kept my eyes forward telling myself, it’s not that bad. Look at how many naked females are totally fine. *sigh* anyways once I got through the initial OMG I’M NAKED IN FRONT OF STRANGERS AND MY CO-WORKERS! WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO ME TO GET TO THIS POINT IN MY LIFE?! WHAT WILL MY PARENTS THINK? *covers face in shame* moment that lasted like 15 seconds I was good.

It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would have been. Then, there was the oh so glorious let’s walk a few meters (like a good minute of walking) naked with just two hand towels to cover bits of your body to your locker. By this point, I was like whatever. Everyone is walking around nude I need to dry off and get my clothes on.

Went to dry my hair and reapply my makeup. Make up has never glided on so smoothly. I need a personal bath and sauna. By this point I wasn’t even fazed by the nudity around me. Thank goodness. So um yeah, that was an experience. Can’t say I enjoy seeing my coworkers naked but it is what it is. haha

This just got so odd that I have to sit here and laugh while typing this. Let’s just say you seem to become closer when you have been around each other without a piece of clothing or makeup to guard you.

But yeah after everyone was good to go we all met up outside. Then of course we get to eat dinner. GALBI (beef). Oh so delicious. After eating there’s always coffee or something so on to a cafe that happens to be right down the street from me. I had to show the bus driver (who drove us), the VP and my co-teacher where it was. I was like “This is my neighborhood, just follow me.” They were all “Oh…you know a lot.” Like duh I pass it all the time for pizza. XD

Enjoyed coffee, cake, and frozen yogurt. Then I was able to finally go home. Spent over 13 hours around my co-workers but it was enjoyable.

Totally something I won’t forget. ^^
