From market fun to being touched by old women. A day of multiple emotions
My friend Keri finally came to my city to actually look around.
That was fun and the first I was able to explore on a market day, since Iām normally at work.
Found the Lotteria and everything. Found a ton of blankets too! Everyone I asked told me I wouldnāt be able to find any. REALLY? I found hundreds of them and more than one person were selling them. Even found a store, so really I canāt find them here? Obviously someone hasnāt looked around. Tsk.
After that we got on the subway. It was packed! And the further we went the worse it got. The ahjummas from earlier decided they wanted to sit down. There are already too many people on and they decided they donāt care and will do what they want.
Sardines in a can had more room. The ahjummas behind me just kept moving on the floor. Elbows in my knees and all. Then, later one decides sheās going to tap my butt not 2-3 times but like 6-8 times. Then, another is going to squeeze it. Iām all like āgreat Iām being violated by old women on the subway. Just my luck.ā Then, they are going to ask if my butt is real. NAHā¦Itās plastic. Like what?! Itās all real, doesnāt mean you can touch me. NO ONE TOUCHES ME LIKE THAT!
Then later one decides sheās going to just go for it and squeeze my chest. I almost hit her. I swearā¦I was close to hurting some old ladies. YOU DO NOT DO THAT! They are real too! Iām not plastic. Sorry I donāt look like a stick. Ok? I swear…
That doesnāt give you any right to touch me in places like that. The older guys had to pull them away and ask them to stop. I wanted to cry at one point. Then, the staring from the same group like they couldnāt blank. Iām like WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?! *sigh*
Like they never seen a foreigner or something. I know I stick out but this is the first ever this crap has happened. I think it was something with that group of women. The ones not with them were looking like āomg what are they doing?ā and shaking their heads.
Keri was freaking out. She was further down so itās not like she could get to me.
Later more people came on. Then two angels came, they were older ladies that actually spoke fluent English. They were so sweet and I swear they saved me from being on the headlines. Some of the guys allowed me to move away from the evil ahjummas.
Finally, after over an hour of torture but a lovely 20 minutes with the other two ladies, we were able to get off. We decided to go somewhere closer because of the time. We walked around to find Jaejoongās cafeā¦Coffee Cojjee but didnāt find it. The directions were so wrong.
After an hour of walking around I said screw it because I was basically hating most of the day anyways. We went where we knew and got some Korean BBQ. Korean BBQ is like comfort food for me. Made me feel a bit better. Then of course Keri was there to cheer me up. Thank goodness or I probably would have been crying from everything that happened.
Then, while walking to the subway, we realized things moved and where the cafe should be. After all that we were like āreally?ā So the directions were updated. Niceā¦-.- Weāll go that way another day. Then once again another packed subway to come home. Was stared at, which is normal but today was too much. The people who stared, act like they canāt blink or something. Like they would not look away for anything. It was irritating. I hate it. I was so glad when almost everyone was gone.
Today wasā¦today. I liked it and hated it all at the same time. Take out the irritating old people then it was lovely. The weather was awesome and I met some sweet people along the way. Had a ton of laughs in between all the mess. I just hope I wonāt be violated like that in the future.
Well, I guess this is the end of my ranting. Until next time!
