Jeju: Arte Museum and Aewol

Where should you go in Jeju? Looking for something artsy and chill? Then, here’s some Jeju places to go: Arte Museum and Aewol.  Well, the main area of Aewol.
Arte Museum is in the middle of nowhere (litereally) but is worth a visit. It’s a nice immersive museum with a lot of areas to take pictures and videos for social media. There are different rooms with different things. You have ocean waves to golden sand falling. They have a cafe there too, but I skipped that. You can color in an animal and scan it to watch it come to life on the wall. It was nice seeing so many adults sit down and color happily. It’s kind of magical. There is a room with a hugh bunny too that you can take pictures in front of.

Next, is the main area of Aewol. The museum is in the same area, but still a good drive from the crowded area of Aewol. Knotted Donuts just opened up in Jeju thankfully in an area I go to often ? Aewol. It is a hot spot here in Jeju, so there’s always a lot of people in the area. ESPECIALLY during the weekends or holidays. Knotted will always have a line unless you go in the middle of the day in the middle of the week. There are a lot of coffee shops and restaurants too.

Oh! There’s Randy’s Donuts in the same area along with some delicious burger places. Seriously it’s a great area for coffee, food, and donuts right by the ocean. You’ll probably see Randy’s Donuts before you see Knotted. Randy’s will definitely have a line of people waiting too. It’s the same situation as Knotted. Sometimes on the weekend there’s not many people if it’s in the colder months. That’s when you get lucky with not having to wait much.

Howevere there are some cafes that are great for pictures but not really for coffee. The area changed a good bit since 2018(?) but in a good way. It’s definitely enjoyable. If you can get a seat at a cafe looking out to the ocean, it’s fantastic.
