Ok, so today was pretty good I guess. Nothing to really complain about. That might change as I go through my day. Got to school early did my routine. I had everything prepared for today so I was just relaxing finally.

People came in like 30 minutes later. Next thing I know, I was moving things from new guy’s office/teacher’s lounge to the new classroom. Why they didn’t do it all before when it was right down the hall from the storage area instead of going all over the building the other day?! Like come on…that could have saved everyone a ton of time and energy.

Anyways had a 6th grade class to help. Co-teacher was in the room telling them where to put it so it wouldn’t be all over the place. New guy decided to help also even though he didn’t have to. He helped me organize the stuff so the kids could grab them. Though one box broke and we had to pick up everything together. At least he understands more than basic English and didn’t say “Uh? Say again slowly.”  While I was taking some things, he was downstairs keeping the line moving. Then the heaviest thing he brought up himself.

Next thing you know it was time for classes. Third graders are pretty good. I love them probably the most besides that one 6th grade class. Finished classes, had lunch in which I actually ate most of my food again. I swear it was them giving me way too much before. Teachers were asking me if I’m use to the cold weather. It’s like no, I’m from the south, it does not get this cold this quickly. Sometimes it takes forever before it gets this cold and it’s not constantly. Plus even if it does get cold and everything I DRIVE! So I have heat and such. Not walking, catching a taxi or anything. I can avoid the cold weather if I want. BIG difference.

My free period I went to scope out the classroom some more. Then my co-teacher came and we wiped down everything. By the time we finished putting stuff into cabinets so we can organize next week, it was almost time for my after school class. Like I was busy all day besides early this morning.

Did my after school class. My kids can sing Twinkle twinkle little star with me just counting to 3. I had them so prepared for the talent show that it seems the 6th grade teacher wanted to pressure me into along with the parents. Funny thing is after school class on Fridays are in her room and she came in while they were singing.

They (some teachers) were having a meeting about the talent show and went ahead and cancelled the part for English thanks to the principal earlier this week. She understood what I was saying, even though I had my kids prepared still. Then it was uncanceled after they sent my old co-teacher and kakao message and stuff. Remember me being upset about all this the other day? Yeah…then the 6th grade teacher is going to tell me that they’ll put the English part in somewhere. I’m like O.o what? Later she kept calling about the sound system thing they were testing out. Then she came in and told me that the kids don’t have to sing. I’m thinking “YOU BOTHERED ME ALL WEEK ABOUT IT NOW IT’S CANCELED?” but said “Oh~Ok.” She apologized and I just went “It’s ok.” and continued to teach.

One less thing for me to worry about. Plus I found out I need to get my room in order (it’s mine for now at least and they keep calling it mine, so it’s mine ^_^) because a principal from another school is suppose to be coming Tuesday. They want to see the English classes for some odd reason. Not much time, eh? Everything is so last minute.

Saw that we are getting at least 2 more second grade classes. The music class is right there from mine. Not sure if I like that right now. Going to hear music a lot unless they soundproof those walls. Probably not. ugh…We’ll see. I love music, but I’m not sure if I want to talk over it constantly.

But I feel so far from civilization in that classroom. It’s on the 4th floor. What’s with me and the 4th floor of everything? I live on the 4th floor, my hotel rooms keep being on the 4th floor. 4 is suppose to be a bad number in Korea though not as much now, but it’s just a bit weird. Eh…*shrugs*

Anyways yeah, it just feels far but then I saw other classrooms. Which I knew were there, but I felt better seeing they are actually going to be classes for kids.

Then again I won’t be so crowded like I’ve been feeling lately in the office. Though I might not communicate with anyone as much because I’d be a bit distant. Ok maybe not really I’m going to need to make copies and all that good stuff and…it’s not like I talk to them a lot anyways.

What about new guy? How on earth am I going to bump into him in the hall when I’m in the new building? There’s no need for him to even float that direction. Not that I know of at least. And I won’t be running around going to classes. I’ll admit he made coming into work better especially with the weeks I’ve been having. I knew that at least one person would greet me less formally and speak some decent English that’s outside of class stuff. *sigh* Ah~ wait is he gonna take my desk? Well more like them move him to my desk. Nooo~ that chair is coming with me. Sorry new guy you’re nice and all but that chair was bought for me especially. ^^;

But yeah week after next I won’t have to walk around anymore. Woo~ There’s enough stairs as it is getting to the class. ugh…

Also, it’s official the co-teacher I have now is not going to be here next year. I can’t keep a co-teacher more than 2 months, whatever. How about they leave me alone and let me do my thing? Co-teachers aren’t really helping me much anyways. I ask questions and get confused looks and a topic far from what I was asking. No help.

I think that’s it. So glad it’s the weekend. ^^ Now to sleep~

Until next time~
