Chinese visa application rejected now what?

Let’s just say, it was a stressful week. Like I had a few tears spill, stressed.

The other week, my visa application was submitted to the Chinese Embassy in Washington, DC, and was rejected. Why?

They wanted more information about my dad’s military service. They wanted the dates of his service and if he is in the reserves or not right now. Nothing that serious and it makes sense.

Hearing the news of my application’s rejection, made my heart drop. They gave a form to make a statement giving the information that they asked for. It was kind of vague but simple. I sent a message to my dad and he answered.

I got that done and sent it back via email to the company. This company saves me from so much stress each time I use them. Seriously, if I flew to DC and went through this. No way. I probably would’ve needed to make another appointment or something. Definitely would have been in a corner crying or something. The company works with embassies and the US State Department all the time.

They submitted my application again the next day and thankfully, the embassy accepted it with no problems. Had to wait a week for them to go back to pick it up. The company mailed it off that day and I got my passport back over the weekend.

Never been so happy to get my passport and see that visa on the page. Talking about some relief. Now I have to get to China.

Let’s just say, if any of your family like parents or siblings (immediate family especially) make sure you put what dates they served in the military and if they are in the reserves or not. It might save you from this kind of situation.
