Fireworks at the Han-never again

10.8.16 October 8, 2016

Went to Yeouido park to see the firework display. Got there early and heard kpop people perform (ioi, b1a4, 24k, etc). Fireworks started and well it all went straight to hell.

People stepped on my feet so many times I was concerned I might be seriously injured. People just ruined everything. You are supposed to chill in your spot and watch. Not run over people trampling them and everything in the process. People were crowding into an area they should have known better than to even try. Harming others to see some damn gunpowder light up the sky in different colors and patterns is not worth it.

There were a ton of foreigners from multiple countries, from Germany to China. Especially China because they had a long holiday. So there were a ton of people. I’m a foreigner myself but I know what to do and not do. Some were just plain rude. It’s common sense. Apparently common sense and respect for other humans don’t exist in the world anymore.

People were literally being stepped and pushed upon, myself and friends included, for some lights in the sky.

We called it a day and left because we didn’t want it to get any worse if that was even possible.

I didn’t even stay in Seoul. I wanted to get back home and as far away as possible. Shockingly I got a bus ticket. Kept checking and got even luckier to find one to leave not long after getting to the station. It allowed me to get home before the bus I first got a ticket for was even going to depart from Seoul.

The fireworks were pretty. I’m shocked I got any pics. At first, I was so pissed I refused to even snap one but gave in after realizing I never want to go again.

So yeah~ screw fireworks on the Han. People don’t know how to act.
