Visa changing from E2 to D10

Went to switch my visa over to a D-10 today. Just have to go back tomorrow with some papers and I should be good to go. Will pick it up in a little less than a month.

So here’s the process. Actually pretty simple. Make an appointment on hikorea.go.kr. Get there a bit early just in case they go through the numbers quickly and if you need to fill out papers.

Documents needed:
-Application (Report) Form [통합신청서 (신고거)] number 34 filled out (online or in office)
-Plan for Seeking Employment form (got this at the office)
-Copy of passport
-Confirmation of residence/accommodation form [거주/숙소제공 확인서]
*This is a toss-up depending on the officer you get it seems. Mine gave me this form and I have to go back tomorrow with a copy of my friend’s housing contract and of their id.
-Fee ₩130,000: ₩100,000 to change visa status so go to the window for stamps to get a paper and ₩30,000 goes into the atm for them to reissue a card. You scan your passport and deposit the money in.
-LOR/Letter of Release: if you are for whatever reason doing this before your contract is actually over. If you finished your contract you shouldn’t need this.

Give all of these lovely papers. They should give you a paper titled Certificate of Application for Permit to Stay. It has all the info you need on it including the day to pick up your card if you don’t get it sent to an address.

So tada~ not too bad. I will update if there is anything else tomorrow.

Until next time~ 안녕
