Finally seeing Jaejoong in concert! My heart…
November 3, 2013
I figured I might as well get this down before I forget. hahaha, me forgetting to document going to a concert? No way especially JAEJOONG’S. And it was the first day of his concert!? I shall never forget it.
Oh and WARNING: This will be long. It’s about a concert. I cut out A LOT.
Now let’s see I woke up super early like 5 something am. I think I was too excited. Of course, my playlist was Jaejoong. I skyped with my family and left pretty early to get into Seoul so I can check into my hotel room. Got there. It was raining and cold! Like omg, if I did not like ok LOVE him I think I would’ve said forget it.
Anyways get to the hotel, pay and check-in. Had to charge my phone before leaving. Took like an hour. *Sigh* Good thing I was only two stops from COEX.
Got there and saw a huge banner with his face and directions. Went past a wedding that happened to be next door and then ta-da you see Jaejoong fans everywhere.
The rice and everything. Then you look further down and there’s this LONG line to get official goods. I was all :O Got in line just in time. A ton of Japanese fans came.
Then while standing there I heard some music. What was it? Him practicing. It totally made the wait-in line awesome. While I was there in line and out he went through like all the songs for the concert. Some he didn’t sing Saturday night like one of my favs…All Alone. But I heard him practice it live, so whatever. It’s the same thing in my book, he was just on the other side of the door. hehe
So I finally get my stuff, it happened so fast that the girl forgot like 2 things. Ok, there were 9 things on sale, the big photo album with the frame was sold out and something else. I ended up with…5 out of the 9 things. >.> Then I waited around and just listened to him practice.
My friend Narai wanted to meet up for lunch quickly. I was floating anyways and he just finished practicing when she got to the mall. So I went down to grab something quick. She came back up with me to see how everything was. She’s never been to a concert (a kpop one and she’s Korean-American).
We took some pictures and then realized the line was short for the goods. Guess what? I went through it a second time. Got the big photo album (without the frame) and a Tumblr (this site has me misspelling things) oh well. So I have 7 of the 9 things. Which is technically 8 things, I just didn’t get the hoodie or a frame. Ooo~ Own everything else though. Ha~
They had to bring in more boxes. Narai was standing in line with me, I was like “OMG get a glow stick thing since you stood in line all this time.” I gave her the money for it. She laughed saying she was going to be outside the doors waving it. After all that, she decided to ask the security guards some info, like which door is going to be opened and such.
Thank goodness she came! We sat down and was going through my stuff, laughing and just enjoying the time passing by. Suddenly the lights changed and everyone got up. We were like O.o ok…*gets up too*. The next thing you know we are at the front of two lines to go in. Like the tip front, only two girls were in front of us. We turned back to see the lines look like super long snakes. I was all :O phew~!
After like 30 minutes or so they were prepping up to tear our tickets and everything. Narai was just amazed at how this was. Next thing you know they were telling us to go to the doors since they were about to open then.
Narai and I said goodbye and when I got to the door I felt nervous. Like this is it. Then they opened the doors. Being the 3rd person in was AWESOME~! As everyone walked in all you could hear was “Woah~ ahhh~” Took me less than a minute to find my seat. It was super organized.
Took about 30 minutes for almost everyone to get in.
Then the show began! All you saw was gold and Jaejoong’s pale self (He’s so Edward for Twilight if they ever come out with a Korean version, heck an Asian version). It was AWESOME. He came down in this cage thing and started singing. That was it, best concert ever right there already less than 30 seconds into it.
Security was strong like they were making sure that most people could not take pictures or videos. Some got to because they were in areas that security was not going to fight through people to get to. I was at the end of the row, so yeah… a great spot to see Jaejoong though.
He had a part of the stage that actually moved around the place so he could see all his fans. Everyone was like “OMG!” The girl beside me was Korean and was hitting my arm. I couldn’t help but laugh. Then she was all “Oh…oh…let’s do a heart!” Since he was coming our way. We did it and he pointed us out. We were all “OMG~! *fangirl dying*” Which is funny because I couldn’t scream my voice was almost gone from yelling at students most of the week and being sick. Lovely.
He had other artists with him for duets and such. Like Kim BumSoo? It was great. Ok understatement. It was absolutely priceless.
He sang almost all his songs (since the TVXQ/JYJ thing). He also sang some Japanese songs. Even sung Bogoshipda which is from way back. Of course, I knew them. Had some fans look at me like O.o. Then when he was singing in mostly English it’s like duh I know what he’s saying. So I sang along with every single song. ^_^
In between songs, he showed what it was like under the stage, and in the back he had this thing set up. He made me want milk. I DO NOT drink milk AT ALL. It can’t even make it down my throat, yet he made me want milk. I don’t understand that. *sigh* Then, he had sausages. I was getting hungry already and was like “Why are you doing this to a sista? Eating and I’m hungry? tsk.”
His style of dressing was one of a rocker, leather pants, black fur coat, shirtless at one point with all his tattoos on display and the fake one on his stomach. Then, clothes that are technically not clothes because they are cut up. His pink leather jacket that made me laugh a little, but it fits him. And regular clothes…I guess. haha
The rock genre allows him to be himself. You can tell he’s heavily influenced by j-rock. Like I found some things similar to certain j-rock artists. But it’s not a bad thing. It’s a good direction but he has his own thing going on too. Which is lovely. I think he can find his place no matter what the genre is though. He knows what he’s doing.
Emotions were all over the place. One moment rocking out, the next in tears from a ballad with sad lyrics, back to rocking out, the sudden R&B, more rocking and then in tears at the end along with him.
Ok, the last song was Paradise and it’s mostly in English. He kept singing (I’m just putting like the main lyrics here) “Look in my eyes~ Look in my eyes~ Let me show you what you’re missin’ I’m your paradise.” I’m like “I know that! We keep seeing each other, like 4 times in less than a month. You spotted me out in the crowd man. I’ve followed and listened to your music for 10 years! I was 14 when you debuted. Everything that happened the good and the bad I was still cheering for you. You know some English. My Korean is messed up. We can speak in Japanese for whatever else we don’t understand~! There’s a wedding next door, wouldn’t even have to pay for anything.”
I have to laugh at myself. *sigh* oh well, a girl can dream. That’s the closest I’m getting to marriage right there. I’ll cry when he does get married though. Oh, my heart.
But yeah back to the concert and not my craziness. ^_^ It was flawless, emotional, and priceless. I would love to see him again in concert. Hopefully, I won’t have to wait 10 years again.
Until next time~!
